Type of resource: Amazing huge illustrated narrative artwork produced by Beehive Collective to be used in storytelling and discussion.
Purpose of resource: To highlight the full history of coal and its environmental and social impacts in the past, now and future. Focuses on the Appalachian Mountains in USA but context is transferable.
How I used it: picking out parts of the story to discuss as part of KS3 Geography unit on resources, sections can be given to different tables. The large powerpoint on the website has sections picked out which can be projected or printed, while the pamphlet link has the stories attached to each part of the illustration.
